Venice was the last pit stop on our Italian journey. As many may know, Venice comes intact with a mountain of expectations and perhaps even more opinions, so you could understand why I found myself sceptical. Athough not a carbon copy of my imagination, what greeted me was no less beautiful. The canals and gondolas that floated about the city were surely charming but so was St Marks square, a sight which awed me due to its unexpectedly grand size. Add to it the hauntingly beautiful vision it presented at night and I was spellbound.

This post brings to an end my Italian journey and the photos it accompanied. I wandered off to Spain next however patience will have to be your most valued virtue as those photos will have to wait. I have decided to upload pictures from my most recent trip to New Zealand first so keep waiting guys, a stark change in landscape awaits!
