Throwing a shirt over more feminine pieces like this dress is my go to on a lazy day. The bird print maxi has been a part of my wardrobe for three years and still going strong. Best $50 ever spent? Usually, spending money on a clothing item that lacks colour, print or a statement shape would be preposterous in my books yet somehow the breezy fabric that hugged the body in just the right places made it worthwhile. It is currently my sole maxi but my brain refuses to classify it as one! Perhaps because the length is perfect with the hem barely grazing my ankles and not adding to my vows whilst walking unlike other maxi dresses. The fabric makes it ideal for a summer day and I more often than not throw on the orange chiffon shirt to prevent sun burn. In this particular instance, the crazy, windy weather had me clutching the shirt to prevent it from flying away.
