Grey is the flavour of the season as well as my current obsession and speaking of current obsessions, adding my plum lipstick to my very grey outfit is another thing I can't quite help myself from doing.
I bought the skirt from here since I was under the minimum spend limit for free shipping. Paying for shipping is one thing I strictly hate, preferring to instead add another item or two. In this case, I had a draped look in mind and although the skirt wasn't the stuff of my dreams I bought it hoping I'd be able to create something. By this time I was exhausted of my inability to find a draped and flowy dress in grey despite hunting the shops and sorting through racks of draped dresses that failed to make the impression I had visualised. Most of the pieces I found got the memo about the draping but the supremely tight fitting it was paired with only contradicted the loose and bohemian brief. After purchasing this particular piece, I began to search for tops/cardigans to add to the layered/drapey look and was lucky enough to pickup the high-low top. I have always avoided high-low tops/dresses since such dresses bring to attention to the knees whilst tops focus on the crotch, areas I personally prefer to avoid. That said, this top is definitely the exception to the rule as it compliments the skirt perfectly! You can find a similar top here. It created layers, kept it breezy and the side drape detail of the skirt lent the addition of a slit, everything that has been in trend over the last few months. The gladiator sandals I wore above were purchased last year and add to my idea of 'monochrome Greek' (yes that's a thing now).

I really like this kind of loose, flowing outfit.
