Nothing quite succeeds in clearing the mind and nourishing the soul like a long relaxing holiday. This trip proved to be just that, arriving at a time when haggard and beaten from half yearly exam stress and battling the monotony of a full time job, we had finally accepted the mundane reality of day to day life. Escaping away to the beautiful Gold Coast (which became synonymous with warm morning sunshine, sandy beaches and four very happy faces) was the perfect way to unwind. The weather was warm and breezy, the views breathtaking and the experiences truly unique. Overall this trip is best described as 'a trip of many firsts'. The first of which was as simple as strolling along the beautiful shore as we watched the moon rise above and beyond the tiny rows of market stalls whilst the waves danced along, there's really nothing quite like it! Our experiences continued to include a wonderfully wet and swampy jet boat ride, a wistful trip to Movie World which succeeded in evoking the fondest of childhood memories, a serene sunset cruise, an impromptu trip to the shooting range, a visit to the natural bridge which acted as a nice break away from the hustling atmosphere of Surfer's Paradise and lastly strolling along the streets, churros in hand as we walked in and out of local shops, cafes and even a haunted house!

Last week we got a great surprise from Dess G. of In my suitcase as she nominated us for the Liebster Award! Being new to blogging, we weren't sure of what it was but was definitely very happy to realise that people out there actually like our content. Thank you so much girl!
The Liebster Award is a great way to encourage new blogs as each winner in turn has to nominate 11 other blogs for this award. Some rules are that the nominees of this award must thank and link back to the blog that nominated them, they must answer the questions as well as create their own set of 11 questions, they also in turn must nominate 11 other blogs that have less than 200 followers and lastly they must leave a comment on the nominees informing them about the nomination. Our answers are below:
What is your purpose in writing a blog?
We loved cooking food and presenting it to the world through photography. Gradually, this lead on to taking photos of our outfits against nice backdrops as we love to explore Sydney streets. Initially, this was limited to our Facebook and Instagram followers however as our interests grew we wanted to find a creative space to share it with the world. After a long day of university/school, our blog is our way to express ourselves whether it be through writing, photography or fashion. We don't spend money on expensive clothing and instead wish to share how to look good even on a budget.
Where do you find inspiration?

Where do you find inspiration?
Our inspiration is drawn from anything and everything in our surroundings! Whether it be simply surfing the net or even a location we visited, our mantra is to use the beauty around us and reflect it through our outfits.
Who is your celebrity style crush?

What is your favorite fashion brand and why?
We're not regular visitors at designers boutiques or veterans of haute couture. But the designer that has caught our attention recently are Mary Katrantzou and Peter Pilotto. And of course one can't escape the beauty of Ellie Saab's gorgeous gowns and feminine pieces.
What is your dream destination?
Ah this question never fail to bring out our inner globetrotter! We simple want to travel EVERYWHERE! But some places we're itching to explore include, Iceland, Russia, South France, Wales,Istanbul, Prague, Switzerland and we better stop here before we list every place on the face of this Earth!
If you could talk to ANY one person from the past or resent, who would that be?
Marie Antoinette for sure. We really want to know all the secrets to her lavish lifestyle, that girl sure knew how to have fun!
Who is your favorite blogger and why?
We had pretty much been living under a rock and only discovered this fashion blogger scene a year ago to the credit of Nicole Warne of Gary Pepper Vintage, our favorite even now. We love her vibrant pictures, quirky yet mostly modest sense of style and the enthusiasm with which she runs her blog.
What is your favourite skin care products?
We both have highly sensitive combination skin which is prone to acne as well as dryness. But thankfully we are blessed to have a beauty therapist for a mother, providing access to all the remedies and products to battle are skincare woes. We won't give too much away as we'll be sharing these tips and tricks with you guys shortly!
If you had to pack only 3 items for a month at an unknown destination, what would you take?
Our trusted Nikon D3100, shoes and a hair brush assuming we layered up on all the clothes we would ever need and don't have to technically pack 'em!
What do you like doing in your free time, other than blogging?
Cooking. Eating. Sleeping
